Holland battles hard in Fall Classic

Success, Mississippi's Chase Holland competed close to home on Friday and Saturday with an appearance in the 29th annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi).

On Friday, Holland qualified his Industrial Dock & Door No. 45 Modified sixth out of 27 cars at the quarter-mile oval, then went on to win his heat race.

Friday’s result started Holland third in Saturday’s 25-lap feature event. He led several circuits near the halfway mark of the $2,000-to-win race and battled for the lead with eventual winner Cade Dillard for multiple laps.

However, Holland suffered a flat right-rear tire in lapped traffic and came home 19th, with the finish not indicative of his speed throughout the weekend.
