Holland wins season opener at Deep South Speedway

Chase Holland rolled into Loxley, Alabama’s Deep South Speedway on Saturday seeking his second victory of 2024. He left the season opener at the 3/8-mile clay oval, which had been postponed from March 9, having accomplished that feat in the Modified division.

Holland began the evening with a heat-race win in his Industrial Dock & Door No. 45 Modified. He then started the 15-lap feature from the second position and claimed the lead on the fourth circuit. He showed the way for the remainder of the race and took the checkered flag 1.718 seconds in front of runner-up Joe Phillips. Nathan Ingresoll came home third, with Ben Davis and Hunter Breland finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.
