Holland posts pair of top-5 finishes at Deep South Speedway

A last-minute decision to race turned into two impressive results for Chase Holland in his Crate Late Model and Modified on Saturday.

After originally planning to take the weekend off, Holland and his team instead traveled to Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama, to compete in the second night of the Forever 51 program.

In the Modified division, Holland finished third in his heat on the 3/8-mile clay oval. He rolled off third in the 15-lap feature and drove to a runner-up result, taking the checkered flag 4.169 seconds behind Jade Luzenberg. Nicholas Sellier, Neil Brown and Nathan Ingresoll completed the top five.

In the Crate Late Model ranks, Holland qualified with the third quickest time and completed the 20-lap A-Main in the same position. He chased James Gilmore and Steven Jernigan across the line, with Taylor Jarvis taking the fourth spot and Briar Cheatham finishing fifth.
