Chase Holland scores Swainsboro 604 Late Model triumph
With Saturday’s slated Pawpaw George Memorial at Meridian, Mississippi’s Whynot Motorsports Park rained out for the second time this spring, Chase Holland instead headed east to race in Georgia. He came away from Swainsboro Raceway with his first-ever Crate Model win.
Holland swept the evening in the 604 Late Model class at the 3/8-mile clay oval in the Peach State. He first set the quickest qualifying time in his Champion Commercial HVAC No. 45 car, then went on to win his heat race, putting him on the pole for the 20-lap feature. Holland led every circuit to take the victory by 7.451 seconds over Ricky McClain. Cameron Tribble, Jordan Feider-Yawn and Henry Carter completed the top five.
Holland’s Saturday win was his fifth overall this season and came on the second of two consecutive nights of racing in Georgia.
On Friday, he took to the 3/8-mile Needmore Speedway in Norman Park to compete in the 604 CRUSA Dirt Late Model program. Holland qualified fifth and picked up one spot in the 25-lap feature to score a fourth-place result. He followed Ty Giles, Cody Stevens and Kam Boyd under the checkered flag, with Grayson Ott finishing fifth.
