Holland grabs Crate Late Model wins in Alabama and Mississippi
Mississippi racer Chase Holland entered his No. 45 Crate Late Model at a pair of Deep South tracks on Friday and Saturday and came away with his 14th and 15th feature victories of the year overall.
On Friday, Holland visited Danville, Alabama’s Moulton Speedway to kick off the weekend. He set the quickest time on the 3/8-mile oval with a lap of 14.303 seconds, putting him on the pole for the 20-lap feature. Holland wired the field and took the win a whopping 7.717 seconds in front of runner-up Logan Bradford. Justin Jacobs rounded out the podium.
The next night, Holland raced in a 15-car Crate Late Model field at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. He turned in a third-place qualifying effort on the 3/8-mile track’s “black ice” surface and rolled off from the second row in the 20-lap feature. Holland grabbed the lead on Lap 2 and never looked back, taking the checkered flag with a 3.365-second margin of victory over Randall Beckwith. Bailey Callahan, Covy Parsons and Jason Lively completed the top five.
