Holland makes MARS Modified starts at Fairbury
Mississippi racer Chase Holland traveled north to Fairbury Speedway on the first weekend in October to participate in the season finale for the Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) Modified Championship.
The two-day FALS Frenzy kicked off on Friday at the quarter-mile track in Fairbury, Illinois, where Holland’s Industrial Dock & Door No. 45 machine was one of 40 DIRTcar UMP Modifieds in the pit area. Holland steered to third in his heat race, then started 12th in the 30-lap, $2,000-to-win feature. He ended the race in the same position.
Forty Modifieds again were at Fairbury on Saturday, and this time, a $3,000 winner’s share was on the line. After finishing fourth in his heat, Holland started and finished 13th in the 30-lap main event.
